Default Last Level - HELP!

I have read several walkthroughs (they all say the same thing, not much), spent 3 hours (its 2:00 a.m. - I need sleep!) trying to finish this game and I can't do it. What am I doing wrong? Those stupid aliens keep attacking and demolishing everything, including the 3 dozen electric towers I have placed everywhere?! I managed to keep them from "heroes" but they destroy my troops, etc. Does someone who has beat the game have a good layout for the village to beat this level?! Spoilers WELCOME!

Thank you! I'm going to sleep now, but hopefully tomorrow I can beat this game!!!! Can you say, addicting?

Have you checked FAQ for a list of walkthrough videos? It has last level video as well.

I don't really like walkthrough videos to be honest, I prefer screenshots, lol. I'll check out the videos though. Thanks.

Unhappy Strange I'm having problems when I could do it before

Before when I had v. 1.02, I had to work but I didn't have any huge trouble defeating the final level, but now that I have 1.03 I can hardly build buildings without them getting destroyed. Is this version actually harder or have I just forgotten what I did the first time I went through the game? I also, for some reason, can't seem to remember how to get to the "other" parts of the comet that have the pillars (and the octopus). I also don't remember having to do some of the elaborate things other people did, like 7 temples or comet bombardments, I just built a big army and went at it for a while, and I had maybe 3 temples at most. I guess I'm going to have to look at the walkthroughs, and I'm going to kick myself if it's something I knew and just forgot.

Since you can't charge more than 1 temple at a time, I only built one and a zillion towers (arrows) and a huge army (mostly Shaman's). It took me HOURS to defeat each "boss" and I mean HOURS! Very time consuming and got to be super boring after say 20 minutes of the same ole same ole.

Default Some <SPOILER>s but not a whole lot

You can charge more than one temple at a time, just not with the same spell. I just looked at the walkthroughs, and I definitely don't remember having to build such a carefully designed village, I just built a lot of fighters and did all the research, and had a couple of temples. I notice that cyber didn't have any witch doctors which I always thought was a requirement, but I guess if you just keep making more fighters, you don't need healers for them. Just don't try that in real life!

Oh, I just assumed because you could not charge more than 1 idol at a time you could not charge more than 1 temple at a time.

Oh, I see what you're getting at. I guess I really meant, how many spells can you have at any one time fully charged sitting in inventory? You can have as many completely charged spells as you have temples, or idols, you just can't actually do the charging (or the repairing, or the building, or the researching, for that matter) more than one at a time. So it depends on how long you're going to hold onto a spell before using it. If you want more than one ready to go at any given time, you need more than one temple. But different spells. Same with idol spells too.

Hi, new here. ::waves:: Just thought I would chime in with a few cents worth of info I found out as I have been playing the game.

You can actually have more spells than you have temples.I'm on the Comet Level and I started out building up an army that could fight the guys that show up around the village site, then built as many temples as I could find land to build them in. Think I had six at one point. Then I went around and had each one of them make a spell and as soon as it had made the spell - I destroyed the temple. You keep the spell, and if you rebuild the temple, you can have it reseach a new spell.

You can't get the same temple to make more than one spell at a time, but you can demolish and rebuild temples for hours (I did) and build up a nice arsenal of 20 of each spell if you want. (more than 20 each actually, 20 is just where I stopped - had to stop somewhere, right?)
