Default like and dislike about TTGold

I want to mention from the beginning that is my favorite game ever (and I played a few).
I like the new thing with the gems, the fact that you can see how many you missed, also they seems to be much easier to find ( it might be a new improved design , better outlines, I don't know). I didn't found really useful the magnifying glass, although in the end are some gems really tricky. It is really hard to see some of them even if it show you the area in which you can find them.
Regarding the screen puzzles in the Abandoned City, I quite appreciated the so called bug from the previous version because it solved the puzzles for you. It is very hard now, almost impossible to solve them without specific instructions ( for example the youtube movie). This puzzles are not so logical, so I really hate them.
Also, the sacred summator... even if i guessed from the start that basically you have to add the first two lines according with the indications from the totems, I was unable to do it, at least for one of the three chests, so I played with the beans.
What I really didn't like in the first TT, and I don't in this one either, is the ending, the fact that you cannot visit the island anymore if you want to, you can't open your chest, nothing, you can't actually see the improvement after the final battle. All you have is a statistic and a black screen.
Otherwise, it's a great game, really clever, with a good story, beautiful graphic, interesting characters. It's one of the few games that I'm willing to play more than once.
So thank you again for all your work and I hope that I will play a new one, or a different one but also smart and imaginative very soon.

Thank you for your kind words but it's too early to talk about possible sequels.
While Totem Tribe Gold started to sell quite good after release, it's after few month we can judge about it's success cause when game is released there is always a spike, and then a decline, so we need to see how low decline is and how much we make in total to see if it will justify making a sequel.

I would really love to make a true sequel, but it's the reality which gives us a final "go". So at this moment if you want to help a sequel becoming a reality - tell your firends about this game and make them try the demo of Totem Tribe Gold.

I am not finished the game, but I have some comments to make. I didn't find either of those two puzzles especially hard. As a comparison, the puzzle on the moon was harder for me, even though I played the original Totem Gold, so eventually I had to give up on fully remembering by myself how to do it--I haven't played it in a while. So finally I had to looked for a hint in the forum, and I thought, ah, that's right, it was that way... However, I was able to figure out the logic of both the other new puzzles without any help from outside.
I found the magnifying glass useful. It obviously was intentional that you couldn't get the magnifying glass until late in the game. That way, you couldn't use the magnifying glass to find any but the most frustrating gems. And it even has to regenerate, so trying to use it on several gems on the same island was tedious. But that was OK. By the time I had found the magnifying glass I had already tried the hard way to find the most difficult-to-find gems at least a few times on every island. Great, we get to do it the way it was intended to be done, before we are able get hints.

I have a lot more comments to make but I will make them later in another post; these were just related to the original thread post.

push over the tree on the bottom right of the island, just click onit a few times, and cross over water to get rest of fireflies; also there is a tree at the top left of the island which you can climb

Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!!! My favourite game ever!!!!

Loved the new islands and the changes to some of the original islands as it gave this TT addict cause to try and work out what to do next.

My two suggestions to the next Totem Tribe are:
  • Please do something with Mist Island, Ruins of Dreamshore and Guardian Moon as these were my least favourite (aka a little boring) on the original TT and now TT Gold. (I wished there was a skip button so I didnt have to play them).
  • Let me be able to clear the black on Liana and Firefly Islands - all other islands you can totally (or very nearly) clear all the black but with these two islands I was left with a large 'chunk" of black and teasingly a little bit of an island is just visible on Liana. I am left nearly sleepless after finishing TT gold wondering what, if anything, could be hiding behind the black - what could I possibly be missing?? The suspense is killing me.... I need closure....

I have to agree on one thing; I didn't like the ending either. I would like to have been able to go back to a few islands and see the changes or explore or just rebuild a few of them. Overall, I would do it again. I liked the pic puzzles and have to say, the only thing that tripped me up was the rosaries. It never lasts as long as I want it to but hey I can play as often as I want so I'll deal with it. If you decide to make a sequel, just a suggestion but make it so you can choose if it will be evil or comprable to the originals.
