Oasis Island Water Puzzle

Hi,
I can't figure out how to get 4 measures of water.
I have an 8 measure & a 5 measure.
I have managed to get 2 measures.
Is there a 3rd jug? If there is I think I could solve it.

I have the Jugs and can fill up 8/8 and 5/5. I don't understand what to do next.

You'll need to empty out the large jug.

Next take the filled small jug and dump into the large jug.

Next fill the small jug again and dump into the large jug.

Once the large jug is full, empty it.

Keep filling the small jug and emptying into the large jug until you get 4/5 in the small jug.

Somebody help me, please. I can't empty any of the jugs, except one in the other. Would you please, please, tell me how on earth can you empty the jars?
