View Full Version : How to get to Desert Islands?

I am completely stumped on how to get to any of the Egyptian Desert Islands on the bottom right portion of the map. I have retraced my steps and don't seem to be missing anything. I have 5 scarabs so far and from what I've read, I will find the other ones in the desert. The only island I have not completed is Firefly Island, but I think I need stuff from the desert to complete that one also (I have the feathers and sharks teeth). The only things I am missing from the first page of collections is the magnifying glass and a square-ish thing on the bottom right. Can anyone clue me in? Thanks in advance!

Also, I haven't been given the right to have cavemen yet. Any ideas? What am I missing? I have searched this forum high and low. No one else seems to be having a problem finding the deserts.

Actually, after finding first Scarab, the first location on desert should unlock.

May I have your profiles.dat file to check it?

I'm currently working on this. Sorry, it looks like really some kind of problem exists. Yet, so far, you are the only two people who reported such a problem.

OK, I got it. Looks like the problem appears when you lose or restart before it complete the island where you have found first your Scarab in the game, and such combination of events occurs not that frequently.

Here is a solution to issue:
1. Switch in TTG to profile with which you experience this error ( if you have several ). Quit the game.
2. Download, unzip and run attached file: unlock_desert.exe.
3. Run TTG and have fun with new locations.

My apologies for this inconvenience.

These are the Desert Sites I have available:
The Great Desert
The Abandoned City
The Oasis

I have successfully completed the missions in each of those and I have 5 scarabs.

Are there other desert locations that should now be available for me? If so,
I do not seem them

No, you need to find all 8 Scarabs before proceeding into deeper Desert locations.

Guro,I did not know it was suppose to show up until last night when my last island was the comet and I could not get to the new island. I first down loaded the trial them payed to continue. Maybe it has something to do with that because it did not show up on the trial software either. If you are on after 6pm central time you are more than welcome to get on my computer and look at the down load and see what happened if you would like.

THANK YOU! I, too, was having the same problem. This worked and now I'm ready to finally go to the dessert. YEAH!
