Getting to the Desert Pyramid

I can't seem to find how to get to the pyramid. As far as I can tell I've completed everything I can find in the Great Desert, Oasis, and Abandoned City. In the Great Desert I have 6 scarabs in my inventory, and two in the obelisks. I can't find anything else to do with the rest of the scarabs. What is it I'm missing?

One scarab there is around the obelisc, another you have to get on an island (sorry but I can't remember where). So you have to had 8 scarabs.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I have a total of eight scarabs altogether, in my treasure area it shows the eight. But when I'm in the Great Desert area, I only have 6 in my side inventory. Two were place in the obelisks at the top of the map over the bridge.

So, you have tu put that six scarabs in obesliscs.. After that you can change the scarab order wuth arrows at the bottom of the obelisc. The pattern is the sequence of the little pyramids in front of the entrance.

Just for futures sake should anyone else need it, I'll note that you have to use the scarabs directly on the bottom of the obelisks, over the other scarabs. Just putting them on any other part of the obelisk doesn't work.

I must be doing something wrong. I have the 8 scarabs, 2 are in the obelisks and everytime I try to put one directly over the placed scarab it won't stay. What am I doing wrong?

In the scarab puzzle : i have all the scarabs and i arranged them after the colors from the pyramids from top to bottom ...and nothing happens...am i doing something wrong? plsss help!!! Thanks

The colors of the temples is the clue..One is from top to bottom, the other from bottom to top. Good Luck!!;)
