Comet Crashsite Crystal Pedistals

I have two Crystal pedistals left that I'm stuck on:
The one on the far west guarded by the Thorn Flowers and the one with the three white and three black lights. Any hints on how to get these? Thanks.:confused:

For those guarded by thorn flowers use idols' magic to destroy them and for the one with 3 white and 3 black ligts - try to click them in following order:
3, 5, 6, 4, 2, 1, 3, 5, 7, 6, 4, 2, 3, 5, 4

Thank you for reply. The instructions you gave for the three black and three white lights pedistal worked perfectly and I have distroyed the Thorn Flowers also but I am still stuck trying to distroy that last pedistal that was guarded by the thorn flowers. Could you please give me a hint as to action needed to distroy this pedistal? Does it have anything to do with lighting up those purple towers? Thank you.

you have to have all the lights lit at the same time. you need to be quick LOL.

"Quick" is an understatement! I was sincerely hoping that more time would be given for activating those things in the updated version, since I find it impossible to get to all of them in the six seconds (or so) that we were given in version 1.0. Is it still the same...really?!

Yes it is, but using minimap should allow you to do that fast.

I have been trying to get this one for 2 days now with no luck, yes I have tried the mini-map too. I have really enjoyed this game until now. I am beginning to think the only way to do this is with a touch screen monitor.
Does anyone have any suggestions besides the ones already listed?

If we will release updated version of the game, we will put more time in this puzzle. Not sure when though.

On a side note - perhaps you can ask someone younger with better reflexes to do that puzzle for you? It will take less than a minute ;)

You say it only takes less than minute to do, but they only stay lite for about 5 seconds and you have to move to 4 different spots on the map and click 5 pedestals.

I made a video on Comet Crash and I show on the video that the first 2 tries were unsuccessful. On the third time, I was successful. Go to You Tube and watch the Comet Crash video I think part 2. Maybe it might give you an idea how you can beat the puzzle without waiting for an update.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that next time I feel like tackling it. (Not any time too soon though, as I've had all the defeat I can handle for awhile.)

yes the 5 light towers is a lil bit a pain in the ttub but i will try till i turn green or something. i think this game is da bomb it has kept me at my pc for a few days using my brain and having a great time. IF time extention is going to come on the towers it would be nice.

oh and for those of u with great spelling and know how to use the spell check can u let me in on how to use this spell check cause i am a horrible speller.

LOL, evidently you are assuming that we "older folk" have younger people with whom we socialize on a casual enough basis to ask them into our homes to help us with a tough puzzle in a game. Speaking for myself, I tend NOT to have younger people into my home on any kind of a regular basis, so would definitely not be likely to invite one over just to solve a game puzzle for me. Guess I will also just have to wait until you might do another update, and make this more practicable for those of us who just can't do it.

Well, either that or just keep playing the older version of the game, in which I cheated to get those purple things lined up closer together :o

LOL, I do have both, but they live in California and I live in Wisconsin. I would hate to have to wait until a visit is arranged to be able to beat this level without cheating...although taking a trip to California this time of year (when my world is covered with snow and ice) doesn't sound unreasonable. :D

How many towers are there? I've found four, and I've had them all lit at the same time but the totem does not appear on the pedestal.

Can you clarify that? Are you saying you have to go back to the first pyramid and click it a second time?

I'm playing on a lap-top, so I'm using a touchpad instead of a mouse. this makes it harder to do these things in time.

I think it's poor design to include a puzzle that depends on dexterity twenty levels into the game (so there was no warning of it while I was doing the one-hour trial). I will be doing a user review of the game shortly and this is going to cost you a star.

Gamenut, if you use your mini map you can do it. Just look for the three purple pedestals (the other two are right by your last totem column). Using the mini map, practice finding the other three. Then click on the mini map fast on each of those 3 locations, then click on your totem column location to get the last two. It might take 2 or 3 tries tops. Good luck.

Yes, it wasn't the best decision to include that type of puzzle in the main quest but what's done is done. Like zuix said with minimap and some practice it is doable.

Suggestion:

Continue to click the purple stands "round robin" style, using the mini map to move from site to site. I really suck at these timer-based puzzles, but I eventually get it at some point.

I've played through the game several times now and thats what works for me, just breathe and keep clicking using the mini map.

(oh, hang your tongue out of the side of your mouth, that seems to help)

I have all my gems (except Comet's) etc... can I go to Comet and get the rest without doing the "dreaded purple posts". If not is there a work around or patch that I could use to slow down the countdown??? Hopefully awaiting your reply

Think you should 'cheat' it by gathering that purple posts together so that you could click them in turns. Try looking through this thread. Someone had already mentioned about it....:p
For me... try to beat this in a normal way, it's doable.

I posted a reply a while back but maybe I didn't explain well. I am 59 and not very coordinated as some of the youngsters playing, I tried and tried with no success, finaly I positioned my screen so that I could just see the top right and the center pedistals, I clicked on these the top first then center that way I was right at the mini map to click on the place for the pedistal on right side then finally go to the ones on far left and I found that even I could repeatedly complete this puzzle! GOOD LUCK!

There is a cheat, I used it to get passed those crystal pedistals/lanterns when I was playing the game through a portal. I found the cheat on a Gamezebo Totem Tribe forum. I don't have a link, but you should be able to find it by going to that forum and typing Crashsite Crystal Pedistals into the search engine at the top of the page.

I have loved this game and want to keep playing it all the way through.:) Only thing is I for one have tried everything, round robin, putting two pedestals on map same time, everything!!! .:eek::o My mouse and I simply can not do this task!!! Could one of you software Wisemen pls help a little ol'lady and, private message if you have to, create a patch/work-around/utiliy to slow speed on the PURPLE Posts. PLease Please Please

what the? what are you talking about if it is about the five cristals i can help start on the one you saw firstt in the level and then you go to second one you saw then the third and then the 4ht and 5th and use the map or it will be impossable? :D :D :D :D
