Gem utility for Totem Tribe

To help all those players who stuck searching for Gems in Totem Tribe we've made an utility. This utility will open save file for Totem Tribe and will analyze on which island how many gems left.

How to use:
1. Download 3 unzip and run.
2. Click "open"
3. In the opened window locate your save files. Saves are usually stoerd in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Enkord\Totem Tribe\ (under Windows XP) or in C:\ProgramData\Enkord\Totem Tribe (under Windows Vista). Please note that those folders might be hidden, so you will need to select "show hidden files and folders" setting in Windows Control Panel. File you need to open is profiles.dat
4. Output window will tell you where have you missed gems.

Unfortunately no. Gems are intentionally tricky to find and without knowing which ones you are missing this is virtually impossible to determine. I can only suggest you to relax, take a break and then try searching those islands again later.

Melasso, try clicking on bushes, flowers, trees, everything. I found gems that were not visible at all by doing this. I know it's kind of tedious but I love the added challenge this game offers. If they were so easy to find, it wouldn't be any fun. Good luck!!

Like I mentioned in the first post, that folder might be hidden in Vista, so to show them you might need to take following steps:
1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
2. Click on the Start button. This is the small round button with the Windows flag in the lower left corner.
3. Click on the Control Panel menu option.
4. When the control panel opens you can either be in Classic View or Control Panel Home view:

If you are in the Classic View do the following:
1. Double-click on the Folder Options icon.
2. Click on the View tab.
3. Go to step 5.

If you are in the Control Panel Home view do the following:
1. Click on the Appearance and Personalization link.
2. Click on Show Hidden Files or Folders.
3. Go to step 5.

5. Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
6. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types.
7. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
8. Press the Apply button and then the OK button.

Just open it, Windows XP and above should be able to open zip archives without problems.

I downloaded the Gem Utility and ran it with no problem. I made a list of the gems I missed and on which islands, but when I go into the game to those islands, the game aborts. If I go into a different island, one where I have found everything, the game works normally. I think the utility modified my profile.dat and the "island".dat files and is causing this problem. When I looked in the "island".dat file using wordpad, I would see the number of gems and what color. Since running the utility, now wordpad shows no gems left to be found.

Is this a bug? Is there anything you can suggest that will help me recover from this problem? I don't want to have to start the game from scratch at this time.

No way, it *does not* change anything in game, just reads your progress.
Please e-mail me ( gcherkaev@enkord.com ) your profile.dat and one of savegames (quest-*.dat) you experience problems with, so I could check it.

Serenity, I'm afraid you have to get newer version of Totem Tribe, 1.02 or 1.03.
You cannot complete Rainbow Road in convenient way in 0.358 or 1.0.
After you upgrade, the Guardian Moon will instantly become available.

That is strange..
Maybe you have lose or restarted Lost Temple island after you got that gems ? That could explain.

Strange indeed.
Though if Rainbow Road tells you need only 2% that is really just about 7 gems, so just don't care about Lost Temple, collect rest and get your Moon.

when I go to download the utility help this is the message I get, Adobe Reader could not open totem-tribe-gem utility.zip because it is either not a supported file type or file is damaged, I am not very good at knowing computers but what can I do to get the help my computer is vista.

on lonely iceberg i can see one, but i can't get it as it's just covered in shadow (black stuff) won't let me click it and i can build towers or anything so i wonder how many are hidden like this...

Try to push black fog a bith further with Aruku/Guro so you will be able to click it.

Just want to THANK YOU for providing the latest version of Totem Tribe and for the Gem Utility. I successfully finished the game completing all quests and am ready to go again for a new ending. Really appreciate the attention you give to your fans. Love the game - reminds me a bit of the old Lemmings game and the RPG games on Nintendo. THANKS

Also, just a note for those who still show gems on Lost temple. If you run the utility with the Island open, it will still show "all" the gems on the island. You must quit then run the utility. It should update the gem count.

I am having the exact same problem. I need 1 blue gem left for 100% and it is on Island of Worship. Everytime I try to open the island (only island of worship. You probably have version 1.0 which is bugged. You need at least version 1.02 or higher. Read news section on www.enkord.com to learn how to obtain it.

You have a broken download. Please try to redownload it.

Like I said in some other thread you can install new version into different folder like "C:\Program Files\Totem Tribe 1.03" instead of just "C:\Program Files\Totem Tribe" and run older version if you wind new one does not load up your saves.

Okay, I tried to do what Jared did and delete the Island of Worship (.17 or whatever), and reinstall it...didn't work. I then deleted everything and tried to reinstall it...didn't work - still dumping me to my desktop. Maybe I'm not in the right place? I went into Program Files and found Totem Tribe and went into levels. I then found the number for Worship and deleted it, and then just ran the entire thing again. Was this wrong? Also, I thought I could try to do what you said above about resaving it to a different folder, but I don't know how to do that. Sorry, beserker, I feel really stupid, but I'm not very operating systems literate on the computer. Can you help me? I really do appreciate all your help - I've gotten through all the other things I posted about with your help!

Then perhaps you have old version which stores necessary files in folder where you installed the game under "Totem Tribe\data"

I went into Program Files and found Totem Tribe and went into levels.

Now, you don't have to go there, this way you screwed your install. You need files that ends with ".dat" extension, not ".xml".

Take a closer look - that utility shows all gems in all profiles so scroll down the list for the next profile gems information.

I can't thank you enough for showing me that if I knew how to count I would have fixed the problem long ago (using your very accurate and helpful instructions). I am now free to play again YAHOOOOOO!

The down side is that because I can't count I have to replay Shark Island again, It is a pretty small price to pay inorder to be able to play this amazing game again.

There is no trial and you don't need to pay anything to get it. All you need is to register here on forums which is free. But since you posted here you already managed to register. So just login if you haven't logged in and click on that download link. It should work for you. BTW, which Windows do you have?

Vista can open .zip files on their own, you don't need WinRAR for that. Just save that file somewhere and then right click on it and select "extract all".

Just a thought...check to see if .zip files default to WinRAR. Could be your using the default "unzip" action and that pulls up WinRAR regardless of what you want it to do. On my system, I use WinZip for .zip and WinRAR only for .rar (I don't let WinRAR override my default extension assignments), since I've been using WinZip for a long time. I use Windows XP, which can also work directly with zip files, but never got into that since I like some of the features in WinZip.

You will need to extract .exe file from .zip archive. Apparently your system just opens it in notepad instead of extracting.

hey i am having a different problem with the utility then others, i open it to run and it goes to my documents folder. from there i can get to the totem tribe folder but i can't find the profiles folder anywhere, and i do not have an Enkord folder anywhere either. i thought maybe it was because i originally bought the V1.0 from RealArcade and the bought V1.3 from here but i have gotten rid of everything with the old version and it still doesn't work. HELP PLEASE! lol at 98% and i would like to find the last gems

Probably seatch does not look into system and hidden folders. Personally on my PC standard windows search does not finds them either. Those files are definitely in folders I mentioned, just make sure you have enabled display of hidden files and folders as described in post #9

Hi I have found 85% of the gems so far. I ran the gem utility and it gave me a list have the total number of gems on each island instead of how many I have left to find on each island. any clues as to why it did this?

I figured out how to use the Gem utility if you happen to have the game from someone else other than ENKORD. What you need to do is open your c: drive then open my games, then open the totem tribe folder, then open the data folder, then in the data folder look for Profiles.dat. In this for it you may just see the word Profiles but if you look below you should see DAT file.

Have downloaded the utility, and gone back to my islands. However, it still says that I have 4 gems left at Worship Island and 3 gems at Comet crash site. I gone over and over those islands, destroyed every building posible, and finally out of frustration increased the size of the gems to 200. They are still not anywhere to be found! I have version 1.02. What am I doing wrong? This is the second time I've played and I really want to visit the Guardian Moon. :confused:

You can unzip it with any. Also Windows XP and Vista can open those files without any external tools.

I have spent about an hour trying to download this program or trying to get it to work. When it opens it is blank with an open and quit tab at the top. And is titled Totem Tribe player profile viewer v 1.0.

You are doing it right. You have to click "open" and locate file "profiles.dat" to open it. Please refer to first post to learn how to locate it.

I downloaded my game from Shockwave, and there's a thread on here on how to use this utility if you got your game from someone other than Enkord, but I'm not able to do it that way, either. I didn't download my game from Enkord either. I have XP -- and had the same problem as you. Forgive the following description -- but I'm not fluent in computerese... I quit the box that comes up when you open the zipped exe file -- and instead opened up a new window. I clicked on my hard drive -- document settings -- all users -- etc -- and when I did it that way the Enkord folder showed. I closed that window -- went back and opened the zipped exe file -- and this time when I clicked open and went through the same string of folders I could see the Enkord folder. The utility file was there and it opened and worked perfectly. Still can't find the gems -- but that's another problem...

If you have version 1.0 or lowar, profiles.dat is placed in "data" folder within folder where you have installed Totem Tribe (can vary).

OK, you've more than maxed out my computer knowledge. I don't know what "gem utility" is nor where to find it. Another person on the site suggested that when you have the game from someone else other than Enkord (which I do, having gotten it from Shockwave), then you open the data folder (which I can find), then open the Profiles.dat folder (which I see, but which won't open). The message I get on the screen is "Windows needs to know what program created it." Is gem utility somewhere other than the program files?

I'm not in the exact same situation as Serenity (with no gems found outstanding by the utility but not at 100%,). However, I have 99%, the Gem utility says I have "one blue gem" left on Yeti Island, but I go there and despite a blown up (4x) spray-painted blue gem, I see nothing....

so! I'll try the suggestion to install a newer version than my 1.0 and do my grueling click, click, click on Yeti, and hopefully find the missing blue gem and come out of it to see I'm Rainbow-Road accessible....

Serenity, I'm afraid you have to get newer version of Totem Tribe, 1.02 or 1.03.
You cannot complete Rainbow Road in convenient way in 0.358 or 1.0.

I have a problem. I used the utility to open profiles.dat; and the profiles in that file are not the same profiles that are active in the game. That is the ONLY copy of profiles.dat on my hard drive. I went so far as to completely delete profiles.dat (I made a backup copy) and restarted the game. My active profiles were unaffected by deleting the profiles.dat file.

I am running Windows XP Pro; I am at 98%; and I very much need to find the last...8-9 gems

Maybe you have lose or restarted Lost Temple island after you got that gems ? That could explain.

No, I have XP also running 1.02 and the same thing is happening to me.

In fact, the game is storing profile data somewhere completely other than profiles.dat. i was able to delete profiles.dat entirely (after making a backup copy and storing elsewhere) and my former user profiles were still active.

When I use the gem utility, it identifies missing gems from profiles no longer connected to the game. That is why the other poster still shows missing gems on lost temple island.

First let me say thank you for this game - I have enjoyed it tremendously!

That said, I think there may be a bug in version 1.03. For what it's worth, I have WinXP.

I had version 1.0 and couldn't get 100% for Rainbow Road due to the Volcano Island missing gem. So I uninstalled 1.0 completely, and installed 1.03. Twice. Each time, I played all the way up to the final level. Each time I only get 98% (not 99% like in 1.0.)

When I go through the data files, and when I use the gem finding utility, results show I am missing only one green gem on Mushroom Island.

You'd think if only one gem were missing, Rainbow Road would be at 99% as with the missing gem in 1.0. But that's not the case.

I've painted and enlarged the gems so they're HUGE. I've looked at all the walk-throughs I can find for gem locations. I've used the gem utility.

This green gem does not appear to be there.

All the coins and all but one item in the treasury (upper left most item), and I am only at 95%.
I cannot get onto the small island above the comet crash site, nor into the moon.

You need the Lost Temple map. You get the map on Island of Worship. To get the map you have to figure out the red glowing circles. Place a hut on the lower right, your combat flag on one of the top red circles and the scout eye on the other top one. Drag one of your heroes to the lower left one. Then you get the map.

You probably have version 1.0 or lower which has a but. You need 1.02 or higher.

I did not obtain to find all the egg yolks in the island mist I lack two and I lack one in the volcano island… as to find these item… I caught all the egg yolks of consoles, and am still with 97%. in accordance with the program I gem utility I will be I totem tribe I I would have to be at least with 99%. what this having… where I am these egg yolks? he forgives my bad English, I am Brazilian and am using a translator.

To summarize, the gem utility program indicates I have 1 green gem left to find on Mushroom Island. Looking at the files in Notepad, it appears as though I have 1 green gem left to find on Mushroom Island. Yet, I am only at 98% on Rainbow Road. And, I have painted and enlarged the gems and searched every pixel on Mushroom Island. There is no green gem to be found.

I have uninstalled the game and re-installed it, and played it through completely each time with the same result.

Any ideas or advice? Thank you.

There should be no but in 1.03. One of the reason of your weird behaviour is if you try to use gem utility without closing the game first. Perhaps you have used old save game from version 1.0 or below (it is recommended to start a new profile once you get 1.03)

when I ran the utility and clicked the "open" tab,it pulled up the data file. In there were....cfg, effect,font,gui. language, level, object, sound and texture, but no profiles or anything near to saying profiles.
If I click the go back(back arrow) to the totem tribe file, the "look in" window has totem tribe and in there,says data and license. I even clicked the data file but it brought me back to the original window that it opened up at running of the utility. Still nothing about profiles.:confused:

I had uninstalled 1.0 and deleted all files I could find before re-installed 1.03. I just uninstalled and reinstalled 1.03 again this morning. For some reason, the old profiles from 1.0 and my last 1.03 game were still available from the game start menu. I deleted them from within the game.

Now there is no profile file showing at all, where there used to be one. My directory path is slightly different because I bought the game through Shockwave (would have come here first if I had known better but I learned about the game through Shockwave).

Where might the profile file be hidden? The former path looked like this:

C:\Program Files\Shockwave.com\Totem Tribe\product\data

Even if I go up to the Totem Tribe directory, there is no profile file. I did create a new profile so there should be one there. Now I can't even use the gem utility.

Saves are usually stoerd in

Have you tried destroying all towers/buildings you built? Also I found some by clicking around Totem places and other sites where you might miss seeing a gem because you were busy doing something else at the time, like trying to find the Monkey's spot.

How many times have you started a new game? How many profiles did your gem utility find? I had to delete all but my most recent Player name for it to know where to look and then it gave the correct list.

Hi. I have a problem here:
After doing all steps in Utube movies looking for all gems at the 21 Islands, i only make a rainbow road 99% completed. So, i run the gem utility to find the missing gems. The program works perfectly. The problem is: when the profile.dat is open, my save game was there, but any list of gems was showing to me! (there is another player profile, but his list of gems is there!)
What that means? have i all the gems catched? so, why only 99% at rainbow road? Miss anything else?

Some help please? I want the Guardian Moon!!! we love this AMAZING game!!!

Most likely it will accept it but some older bugs might creep in. You can try to do that and if it wont work - try to start new profile. Keep in mind that location of profiles.dat is changed in 1.03

I unzip and click on run and the pages start "blinking" for lack of better word. I cannot X them out, as they are blinking so fast I cannot put curser on x and have to restart computer, to get it to stop. It happens every time. I have scannned the utility to see if there is a virus and both say no. I have Windows Vista.

I am at 99% and have resorted to going back over every level to see if I have missed a gem. I have all bones, etc, and i want ot go to the Moon so bad, before fighting the big bad ugly. I love this game and have told numerous people about it and they are a little miffed at me for getting them hooked but love it anyhow.

Utility only tells you at which islands you have missing gems, it does not tell their exact locations. Seems like you have a lot of gems so try to find as much as possible on your own before using utility.

I am trying to get the Gem Utility to work. I click the link above where it redirects me to sign in. I do and choose the option to "save" it then asks me to sign in again. After the download is saved I try to open it and the page has an error. I do not have much experience with computers so I am not sure how to unzip (or extract) the file. I am almost ready to enter the Comet Site but would love to have all the gems so I can go to the Moon Guardian island. Are there more detailed or step by step direction that are more detailed than above?? I am using Windows XP.

Unfortunately I don't see how we can explain that utility to you with more detail. Perhaps you can ask someone in real life who has more computer experience to help you out with that?

I tried the download, was able to locate the file, but my computer cheap thing that it is refused to open the file saying that it did not recognize it and that I could search the web for whatever so that the file could be read. I looked at the web and decided I lack the knowledge to be messing with my computer's innards. Um, I don't mean the physical innards but the ones where if ya don't know what you are doing then can cause you to commit some real problems with files that one has no idea whay they are for and what they mean. So, I just closed up.

I bought my game from real arcade and looked up enkord as I saw this was the game creator. I love this game as do my kids. I have 99 percent of the gems it says, but I was keeping track and recording on paper everytime I got a gem and which island it came from. I do have totem tribe 1.02 version so perhaps this means I cannot go to the moon..if you will. Anyhow, it is still a fun game although there are some bugs such as the game continually crashes on me as well as freezing up and such...but that could also be my computer being the problem as well.

Yes I did, also my map is black now after I used the dark totems to destroy the crystal pedestals and the big booommmmm lol, I looked pixel by pixel and no gems there, or there is any other way to repeat the level without delete the progres made or change for another profile? I really want to race the moon. Still 98% rainbow road.

I cannot use the gem utility. I am using a very old version of Windows.... and when I searched through the entire totem tribe data there is no "profile.dat"

The gem utitlity doesn't pick up any files, just folders and won't open anything :(

Can you please help me? I'm desperate! I'm so frustrated I want to cry...I've tried everything you've said to do in order to count the gems you are missing and which islands....but I just don't get it. I have vista....and this is what it gives me when I download your program tt-pr.exe and before that totem-tribe-gem-utility.zip yet whenever I try to open it I get Totem Tribe player profile viewer v.1.0....what do I do with that? Am I doing something wrong? I feel so lost and I've been trying this for days! Even worse, I've been playing the game since Feb! I just want to get the rainbow so I can get to the Guardian Moon and finish the game:( I'm begging someone to pls help me? I'm at my wits ends:confused:

I opened it, and it takes me to my documents but I purposefully didn't put my games in Doc's cause my family has a tendancy to delete my games if I don't put them in my own special folder. Do I need to move the game file over to this specific place, cause I've just opened it, and then re-routed until I get to where I put it. Never-the-less, after opening Totem Tribe, and selecting the data file in there...it shows the list, I'm assuming you already know it, at the bottom is the totem-tribe-gem-utility.zip, I opened that and its empty:eek: Clearly I have no idea what I'm doing, so please bear with me, I realize this is prob a huge annoyance to someone savvy in computers, but I wouldn't have come here if I wasn't completely desperate for help?

place the tt-pr.exe file in the same directory that your profile.dat file is. The original location is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Enkord\Totem Tribe (Windows XP) you would have to ask someone else for Vista. When you place the tt-pr.exe file where the profile.dat it will locate what gems you are missing.

Ok so seriously, I had to do some switching around...I don't even know how I did it....but I found it somehow, and moved the files over to Doc's did as you suggested...after quite a few tricks of my own that I seriously pulled outta my butt( lol, joke cause I am really blonde and I couldn't even begin to tell you how I did it again, hence the remark!):p:rolleyes:

I thank you for spending the extra time to explain everything a little clearer...my last question is What if I used it, found all the gems it told me I was missing, or when looking for the 3 green and 3 orange gems it said I was missing on Comet Crash, and they weren't even on the screen? As in I already got them, but the program isn't registering it...leaving me at 98% when it should be 100%?! Outta curiousity when you go back to the program, shouldn't those gems be gone? Ok, since I cannot see what you are doing in the game here are some suggestions.

1. There are 3 mounds that can be destroyed by the crossbow, have you destroyed all 3 mounds? Because groups of 3 gems sounds like they are under 2 of those mounds.

2. Make sure you have completely exited Totem Tribe after getting all the gems before you run the gem utility.

3. What version of Totem Tribe are you running?

The only other thing I can think of is watch this video which shows all the location of the gems on Comet Crash. Maybe it will help you figure out if you did get all the gems.

Yeah you were right about the crossbow, just like some other pple here were saying abt not being able to find the gems. I read what they had to say, and watched your video that showed the gems were there, the only thing your video didn't show was the crossbow wrecking those dumb chrystals...but I get it, why show us everything when we should work a little for some of it right:p But all the same, thank you so much for helping me!:D

P.s.- I am using version 1.02 by the way.

I've done everything that's been stated here in order to get the helper working. However when I go under the Doc/Settings and everything that follows there in after looking for Enkord file on the list I don't see it.

I've gone in a clicked off the two you said to turn off and clicked on the show hidden files and still nothing.

Great utility - really useful. Saves manually going into the data files for each island and searching for "gem" to see how many of which colour is left in each place!

BUT - using this utility it now tells me I have no gems left to find, yet the guardian moon hasn't appeared and the rainbow road still says "99%".

Any suggestions (sorry if I'm not the first to say this, but with 22 pages of information here, I gave up after looking through the first 10)!

Sorry - just found out about the update facility. I now realise that as I bought my Totem Tribe game through Real Arcade, I probably have an old version. They don't seem to have any updates available on Real Arcade, so I have e-mailed your support to ask for the latest version. Thanks for making this available to those of us who did not buy directly from Enkord.

Since this is somewhere to go to ask questions, though most of the time it is just Cyberomega and Beserker that take the time to deal with us frustrated souls, I thought I'd cry out again in desperation. How can you possibly loose one yellow gem on Skull Island? There is no where for anything to hide! Not only did I play the Island when I came to it, I have come back twice to gem search and explore. I decided to use the gem utility, and low and behold I missed more than I ever imagined across the islands! I thought I learned to count in 1st grade. I went completely over Skull Island again, 3 times more, and no gem and I clicked on everything. I said, last ditch effort we cheat for 1 gem and went and watched the video on You Tube, not once but twice! I followed the bouncing ball to each and every spot doing a start/stop on the video and jump to my game to go to the same spot and look. Not once, but twice! Is there any possibility the utility might just be wrong?

Further on in the game you will earn air lungs which will give you the ability to swim and explore. As to the one gem you're missing, did you build the tower by the wiseman's hut?

Patience is a virtue. Bear in mind that thousands of people have successfully played the game to conclusion. I, myself, have completed it over 16 times. It wasn't meant to be easy but it is doable with perseverance.

Bouncing ball in my videos? Now I have to relook at the videos and see where that bouncing ball is. Just kidding. It doesn't frustrate me and I am sure it doesn't frustrate Berserker to answer questions if it helps people beat the game. Missing a yellow gem, hmmm, now I have to double check to see where the 3 yellow gems are and maybe I might be able to help you locate them.
FYI - all yellow gems have a purple background on the video the gems are hexagonal. On the Skull Island video I grabbed a yellow gem at 1:10, 2:23 and 2:36. Focus on that part of the video and maybe you will find where you missed a yellow gem. Hope this helps.

Do not try to open profile file from explorer.
Instead you have to run utility, push the button 'Open', and choose your file from there.

I think I had some tunnelvision last night because now I found it instantly.
When I got the "open" screen there was no info in it. But now I saw the light and realized that I had to search for the file via the open screen. C drive, Program data, Enkord, profile.dat. I aborded that everytime. Duh..
There are no gems to be found anymore according to the gem utility.
But I am still at 99 %. I do have the 0,358 version. How can upgrade it to a higher version?

ok... i know i am new to all of this, but i can not locate this file. i am running windows vista and the program is not on my c drive. this way people will not tell me the path which is false. i am using my laptop and have several external hard drives. i use my lacie 1TB for all my games.

i really would like to use this program and am a bit confused by all of it.

is there a way to find the profiles.dat file? yes i have all the hidden files showing. that is not the problem...

Regardless of where you games are installed on Vista all saved files are on C: drive. You are unable to see proper folders because you probably have them hidded. There is a special post on that matter on first page so you probably haven't read it careful enough:

i did all that... i am not stupid.... i did a search on my computer to all my drives and nothing is on my c drive... i have that set up so games do not run on the c drive....

i have read the whole thing on here. like i have stated on my previous post i have done all that i have read. so all files are not hidden.

again.... there is a problem and i feel i just wasted my time.

EDIT: I ended up deleating all i could find, uninstalling totem tribe and then re/installing it again. i have found out that i was missing a lot of files so after re-installing i finally got it to work.....

Check your game version. It is stated at lower left corner of main menu.

Earlier releases of Totem Tribe contained a bug which prevented from completing all of the gems. You need version 1.02 or higher in order to get 100% of the gems and reach Guardian Moon. We provide replacement copies for those people who purchased the game from some other place and unable to get updated version.

To help all those players who stuck searching for Gems in Totem Tribe we've made an utility. This utility will open save file for Totem Tribe and will analyze on which island how many gems left.

How to use:
1. Download 3 unzip and run.
2. Click "open"
3. In the opened window locate your save files. Saves are usually stoerd in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Enkord\Totem Tribe\ (under Windows XP) or in C:\ProgramData\Enkord\Totem Tribe (under Windows Vista). Please note that those folders might be hidden, so you will need to select "show hidden files and folders" setting in Windows Control Panel. File you need to open is profiles.dat
4. Output window will tell you where have you missed gems.

I have read 23 pages of this forum now and I have windows xp; I found the profile.dat, but it says windows can't open it. I have went to; notepad, hp image zone, paint, adobe reader and I can't find something that opens this file.
When I try to open it, each program will show me a seperate and new amount of gibberish (computer symbols for programing).

Local Disk (C: ) > Program Data > Enkord > Totem Tribe > profiles.dat :cool:

Like I mentioned in the first post, that folder might be hidden in Vista, so to show them you might need to take following steps:

First it was XP. Then Vista. Now Windows 7.
I need to know where "profiles.dat is in windows 7.
For some reason windows 7 does not have search for files.

Reflexive Arcade uses "arcade.dat" Size 503Kb.

Copied and renamed the file to "profile.dat"
in hope that your Gem Utility program would see the file.

Restore it back, it is not the file you need. Wherever have you purchased game, our file has the same name - profile.dat

You are correct. C:\program data\enkord\totem tribe is the folder.
Problem was in Windows 7, they hide those files.
Also in Windows 7 the software comes with the seach for
that folder turned off. No search engine.
You have to turn on the search in windows 7.
Then look for the profile.dat folder.

I copied the profile.dat folder on to the flash stick
that also had your utility program on it.
Makes it easy for your program to find the profile.dat folder.

Your software worked great!!
Found all the gems.
