Gem utility for Totem Tribe

Gem utility works fine. The file was just where it was supposed to be for XP. Thanks. Now back to find the rest of the gems. :cool:

Call me stupid if you wish. I saved the Gem Utility and it subsequently appeared on my desktop but everytime I try to do anything with it I just get a black screen and have to go into Task Manager to end program because nothing else happens. Getting really sick of this now - WISH MICROSOFT WOULD STOP "BETTERING SOFTWARE"!!!!!! Just a load of bl""*y money grabbing gits, no sooner do people get used to one system they come up with another.

It took me about 3 minutes to solve the puzzle.
It helps a lot if you keep clicking the lights until they look symmetrical (sorry for my english, i am from Holland). If you can accomplish that, you just have to click a bit random, but make sure that they STAY symmetrical.
It sounds weird, but i've done the puzzle 3 times now and every time it worked. Good luck! :)

If you have a early version of the game, it is a glitch. You cannot get 100% of the gems.

You run the utility. Push 'open' button (top left corner). The dialog opens - there you have to find this .dat file.
That should look like this:

the game itself is located in another directory, D:\, but not a single file in the 'totem tribe deluxe' folder is a .dat file.

Oh, there is one .dat file in the Totem Tribe Deluxe root folder, but it's called wrapperresources.dat
renaming it to profiles.dat makes it possible for the utility to see, but the only info it gives is:

No wonder. That is absolutely another and therefore wrong file, so such experiments with renaming could not bring any good.
There are exact paths to the file stated in the first post of this thread and it is called exactly profiles.dat.

Ah ha! if anyone else has this problem just let them know that once you `show hiddien files` you may need to go all the way back to C:, A new folder will be there named `programdata` THEN you can the `Encord` folder. It`s not in the same place as the older Totem Tribe version. Good luck

The only file the program should open is the profile.dat DO NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER FILES NAMES TO MATCH THIS NAME you will mess up the game. It might be hidden on your computer if you are using Vista or System 7.

ok i did this and i have only found 99% of the gems and i was wondering how does this utility thing work this is just my 2 cents worth DONT MAKE THE GEMS AN ITEMS SO HARD TO FIND if you cant tell i am highly frustrated with this game. i downloaded this utility exactly how you said to and it dont work or am i missing something i have been playing this for 4 day and over 10hr a day trying to find these stupid gems PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

I have the Gem Utility, I have used it, and now it tells me that there are no gems left, but I still don't have the rainbow 100%, just 98%. I have 1.02 version of the game on windows 7

Can I please ask if this will run well on Windows 7 - I have the professional version and 64 bit.
this operating system also runs programs that are not 64 bit. I does it all automatically. I think mainly programs that run on Vista also will run on Windows 7. this is a true 64 bit program not like Vista.

Hi I have totem tribe 0.358...i heard some of versions have gem glitches...does this version have glitch? I'm asking this because when I used gem utility to see my profile it is showing my profile name and nothing else. But the number of gems found are 99%...what should I do? I'm helpless....please help me..

And one more thing the path you have specified doesn't exist in my hard drive. Instead the profile is in C:\Program Files\Games\Totem Tribe\data

It's not supported on Windows 7. For Win7 you better consider purchasing Totem Tribe Gold, which has gem utility built-in in the game.

If you're looking for it in the game, the original Totem Tribe doesn't have it built in. Only the GOLD edition has that. You need the download from the first page of this thread. It will show which gems are missing from your collection in a window separate from the game, but it will only tell you what is missing, not where they are. I checked the Gamehouse free version of the original, and the gem utility works fine with it, even with Windows 7 64-bit. It's located in the same place as Vista (C:\ProgramData\Enkord\Totem Tribe). If your game is saved on a drive other than C:, look there. My old computer was set to save everything to F:.

My profile shown that no gem left, but ,in the game, I still have 99% rainbow. ??? What should I do??
Is there any possibility that only the last gem can't be detected by this program?
