help I am going crazy. I have written down the steps to fill the jugs and have started the game over at least 10 times still to no avail. My water jugs start out at 1/8and 1/5 and when i follow the steps given i just end up with 3/8 and 5/5:confused:

Here are all the steps again to get the 4 measures of water

To get 4 measures, follow these steps:

* Fill the 8 jar and pour into the 5 jar. 3/8
* Empty the 5 jar.
* Pour the water from 8 into 5. 3/5
* Fill 8 from the well.
* Pour water from 8 into 5. 6/8
* Empty 5.
* Pour water from 8 into 5. 1/8
* Empty 5.
* Pour water from 8 into 5. 1/5
* Fill 8 from the well.
* Pour into 5. 4/8

Don't miss any

Follow the posted instructions carefully, one by one, and as Patty says 'don't miss any'. I was sure it wasn't working, because my water pots didn't always show the number they were supposed to show (according to the hint instructions)....I just went ahead as if I knew what I was doing ;) and when I finished, I clicked, the pots disappeared, and I had finished it correctly.

Don't know exactly what happened, but I followed the hint instructions to a 'T' and it worked!!

Thanks to those who took the time to post the solution, as that was somewhat mind boggling for me, and I needed the step by step!

Thanks I finally got it I think it helped to expain that no mater what the numbers say follow the steps also it looks like the jug is empty when its not that is confusing. Thanks from all of those like me who are alittle dense when it comes to stuff like that
